The Spoon Theory...
During my many searches for answers, I would often come across references to "spoonies" but was never exactly sure what it meant. The author of the Spoon Theory has chronic fatigue syndrome and lupus - POTS also overlaps with chronic fatigue syndrome. She came up with the theory as she tried to describe to a friend what it's like to be sick with an invisible illness. She has been an advocate, blogger, and speaker for those with lupus for over 18 years. She has a website called butyoudontlooksick.com. I have tried to describe the theory to others and it never comes out as well when I tell it - so be sure to read.
